Inside Out...

Someday, I want to live in a big, big house, a palace of my own. But since "palaces" are way too romantic, calling it my own water-colored mansion would be more appropriate. I want its entirety to be a mixture of every color - a combination of strong, dark hues and girly pastels. I want my whole place to be huge, with high ceilings, so that if I stand in the middle of everything and shout my name out loud, I'd hear the walls call my name. I want it to have a balcony for my little afternoon reading sessions or dreamy stargazing moments at night.

I want the inside to be a combination of glass doors and wooden furniture to give me the feeling of having both the city and country at once. I want wood floors, and cushiony carpet. I want to be able to walk barefoot, and never be cold. I want a big fireplace, one that wouldn't be used often - and only in the company of a loved one.

I want to hang pretty artwork on the walls. I want my entire home to tell a story -with pictures everywhere, old and new. Momento's from my past.

I want my kitchen area to be a happy place. I want yellows and sky blues to stand out. Aside from my dining table made of dark wood, with big comfotable chairs, I want to have another mini-table for light snacks on lazy afternoons. It would be something blue.

I want big bay windows, that let only sunlight in. And in front of one of them, I want a window seat - where I can curl up with papers that need to be graded or whatever book I am reading at that time.

I want a big backyard with a back deck, where I can watch my dog play, and enjoy the summer evenings.

I want it my bedroom to have a very soft bed filled with pillows. I want to have a little sofa, bean bag or whatever near my window.

I'll have a walk-in closet. Not that I would need it - but it goes along with the image.

My favorite room would be the bathroom. They would all be bright and bold at the same time. They will always smell like vanilla candles and have fresh fluffy matching towels. It will have a bathtub the size of a small country, one that you sink into and never want to get out, no matter how cold the water gets, or how wrinkled my skin gets. My bathroom is an extension of my heaven. I've always found it to be a very relaxing place. I want to see candles everywhere and fresh flowers. Something exotic.

Sigh.... someday. Yes, someday.
