Damn You Keith Urban!

Sigh! I admit, while I remain a cynic a majority of the time, once in awhile a love song will reduce me to a quivering bottom lip personified. What really moved me about this song was how genuinely endearing and unpretentious it was. I felt that, whoever the woman he’s singing about is, it seemed like he was completely there for her. It gave me the impression that maybe she had been unhappy in the past, and he is setting things right by just understanding her and letting her know that she's loved.

I’m not proud of this, but I’ve been listening to this song a lot the last few days, swooning with thoughts like "What do I have to do to get treated like this?" and "I want someone to write me a song like that." or worse yet, "I want this song to be played at my wedding." Yes, unfortunately, I did really think this stuff. My wedding? I don’t even want to get married and this song is making me have fantasies about fictitious sensitive boyfriends and imaginary nuptials. Sigh.
